The world is at my door.
My visa arrived today. It’s official! I have to say the visa application process was one of the more daunting preparations for this trip, but it turned out to be more hype than necessary. Once I got to the visa consulate in Chicago, things ran smoothly. Then it was just a matter of hoping no mail horror stories would become my reality as I awaited this paper permission.
Now I’ve got it, scary-looking picture of me and all.

Oh, I know the visa horror stores well… I spent many hours in the French prefecture trying to sort mine out! Congratulations on getting yours – I know that’s a huge weight off the shoulders! 🙂
